Join our Ambassadors at the Borton’s Road Trailhead on 12/20/2026 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm to enjoy the day with the shortest daylight in the Black Run Preserve. We will walk 3 miles at a moderate pace while exploring the Black Run and discussing faunal and floral adaptations to winter and best practices for winter hiking.
Our trails are hard and soft sand trails with slight elevation changes, some muddy areas, roots, and stumps. Hiking boots, sturdy shoes, or waterproof boots are recommended. Please dress for the weather and come prepared with water and bug spray.
